Since i was a kid i've always felt like i would someday have all that i've ever wanted?

IAs a kid i remember, that i would know that someday i would grow up into getting a job, that would give me lots of money. And I'm 17 now, i still feel this way. Is it normal? I know life isn't perfect but i've always felt like i would grow up into being rich or someday become famous. Is it normal to still feel this way when seventeen years have gone by? To still feel that i would someday fufill all my needs and wants.
