Do I have to tell the court house i was married before if it was annulled when I get my 2nd marriage license?

Ok so i was married before but i had it annulled after 6 weeks. So now i have met someone that truely cares for me but im afraid to tell him about my past because it was horrible and terrifying! & I hate the thought of bringing it up to anyone! I know he wants to get married but im afraid that when we go to get our marriage license they will ask if i was ever married before. Now i know that an annulment is like it never happened but do i still have to tell them i was married before even if it was annulled?
